Snow Day!

Over the past few days, it’s been snowing continuously in Pittsburgh! It’s not a winter storm exactly, though. Sometimes the snow comes down in flakes so tiny it looks like little grains of salt, and it doesn’t really stick once it lands. Other times, it comes down in bigger, thicker flurries. “Snowflakes that melt on my nose and eyelashes,” just like the song. 🙂 The roads around here haven’t been too bad, but it’s SO cold outside and windy at times, that we’ve stayed inside for most of the weekend. This afternoon, the temperature went up a little bit (27 degrees instead of 15, haha) and the snow started coming down in tiny grains of salt again, so Justin and I went outside to play. We had ourselves a good, old-fashioned snow day!

That's Justin way off to the right, climbing back up the hill after sledding.

  1. Aww, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun in the snow! And what a pretty cardinal against that white backdrop! 🙂

  2. It was pretty fun, but we decided that we need to get one of those inflatable tubes next time. We could feel every little bump through that saucer! And we were both feeling a little sore this morning. :-/ Getting old…
