About the Author

I am a Florida girl who has lived all over the map, but I’m currently putting down roots in Knoxville, Tennessee. Besides being the mother of the cutest little boy in the world (it’s true… Check Guinness), I am also a wife, cat-whisperer, and high school English teacher. You can read about all of my latest shenanigans here.

Hey, could you email me please? I’m considering ESL and kind of lost on what is right, wrong, reliable, etc. Thanks SO much. Something like travel to foreign country is so outside my comfort zone (alone!). I don’t know other languages and NO background in teaching or English…BSc. and living in Canada, 32 year old female. Thks, hope you email!

Hi! My husband and I currently live in Xiamen (China), and I just wanted to say how much I enjoy and can relate to your “Lost on Planet China” blog as well as “The New Normal”. I originally found your blog through a post that you made about Malveron (on another China blog). I was wondering how it turned out…I’m thinking of using it while I’m here and was hoping to get some insight. Thanks in advance, and please keep on blogging :>)

    • Good to hear from you, Emily! I hope you enjoy your time in China! Marvelon worked really well for me. It’s made by a pharmaceutical company in Canada, and it uses the same active ingredients/hormone levels that most contraceptives in the United States use. And the price is nice…only about $2 for a month’s supply. I didn’t have any problems with it, so I would definitely recommend it! ๐Ÿ™‚
